Sheelagh Wells passed away peacefully at Chiswick Nursing Home. For the last 4 years she had battled Alzheimer’s which advanced greatly during the lockdown period in 2020.

Sheelagh led such an incredible life being a BBC Makeup Designer and she was awarded a BAFTA craft award for her work on Dr Who. Sheelagh was an active member of Bectu, attending the regular London meetings.

 

She was so passionate about the makeup industry and loved sharing her knowledge of makeup with the next generation. Equally Sheelagh was one of the organisers of IMATs, enabling the educators lineups in the first few years and working with the competition teams.

 

Her marriage to Joe was a really happy one and they had an exciting UK/USA life together for over 40 years. If anyone would like to share any memories about Sheelagh could you email me at townendjulia@gmail.com
